The typical dietary intake of L-arginine is 3.5 to 5 grams daily. Most dietary L-arginine comes from plant and animal proteins. Small amounts of free L-arginine are found in vegetable juices and fermented foods, such as miso and yogurt. Soy protein and other plant proteins are richer in L-arginine than are animal proteins, which are richer in lysine. It is thought that the possible hypocholesterolemic effect of soy protein is due, at least in part, to the higher L-arginine content in this protein.

Hi! I want to maxamize my height growth (I am still a teen), and I heard food content with high amino acids a release more growth hormone.
hari1956 answers:

Well….. I don’t know if you’re going to get more growth hormone for real… But eggs are always be the best for everything. They are the perfect protein – the amino acids in eggs are the protein against which all other foods are measured for protein content.

Good fats play a big part in hormone production – and the yokes of eggs have extremely fragile and valuable fats which aid in growth and repair of tissue.

So have lots of eggs – “sunny side up” if possible so that the yokes aren’t cooked – then you get the fats as nature intended.

If you want to read about all this – Atkins wrote a kick a$$ book called “Vita-Nutrient Solution” about all the vitamins, minerals, amino acids and fats and his use of these in his practice – he was a heart doctor.

You can get the book for nothing (except postage) if buy it used off of Amazon. I read the covers off the first copy I had and I’m on my second copy.

Hi,

Nitric Oxide helps with endurance, recovery and lowering lactic acid buildup. It gives you a full pump effect…like the pump you get when you workout times two. Nitric Oxide dilates the blood vessels….this increase in blood flow helps deliver nutrients such as creatine and protein to the muscles and oxygen.

Alot of the NO supplements on the market have too many stimulants added on. If you are looking to avoid stimulants just buy the active ingredient in the supplement, specifically the amino acid L-Arginine. My personal favorite is the stimulant free MHP TRAC, which is just creatine and arginine w/o stimulants.

Yes, protein is simply made of amino acids, so tuna would work similarly. The main advantages of aminos are that they are digested quickly and some specific aminos can have almost drug-like effects.

It’s one of those small issues though. The main thing is to follow a great training and nutrition plan. If you need a good plan I would recommend this one: http://www.athleticmusclebuilding.com

hari1956 answers:

Well, that’s a tough yes/no answer. You’re right that it’s a good protein source that has a good variety of Amino Acids and other nutrients… But the other nutrients might cause you problems. A typical Brewer’s Yeast has about 8 grams of protein per tablespoon… But it also has almost 100 mcg of Chromium in that same tablespoon. In order to get the RDA of 50 grams of protein, it would be about 6 tablespoons of Brewer’s Yeast… Which would be about 600 mcg of Chromium.
The reason that could be a problem is that the RDA of Chromium is 120 mcg and is normally recommended up to 200 mcg per day… But more importantly, Chromium may enhance insulin sensitivity, which can affect glucose levels. Needless to say, that can be potentially harmful (or potentially helpful depending on the dosage and needs) for diabetics or hypoglycemics, but it can also throw off blood sugar levels for those who aren’t in higher doses like that.

Before taking that much Brewer’s Yeast, I would check with a doctor that knows about nutrition to see if it would be safe. If you would like a safer alternative, you could also take a whey protein powder (or pea or similar non-milk protein if you can’t handle the dairy) to get most all of the essential Amino Acids. Good luck and I hope I helped!

BCAA stands for branched chain amino acids, they are used to make proteins and help with muscle hyperthrophy.
Amino acid supplements are basically all of the 20 amino acids found in human body, each sold seperately.

BCAA, on the other hand contains only three amino acids Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine.

Yes they are the same. If you look on your protein poweder, it will show you the amino acids in it and the amounts (mine does). But stick with the powder, its gunna take a whole lot of amino acid pills to come close to whats in a scoop of protein powder.

Arbitrarily, because the head has much more oxygenated blood going through it – so the highest concentration of “blue” veins are in the arms/legs rather than your face.
hari1956 answers:

If the women you have seen recently were casual dates, then I can understand completely your ED problem. You were used to the woman of the 15-year-long relationship, where everything was predictable and “normal” to your senses. Now all of that has changed. So be patient with yourself and go more slowly with your progress from dancefloor or dinner table to bedroom so that you get to know the prospective lover better and feel comfortable with her.

Also, you might be putting some kind of unreasonable pressure on yourself to “perform” or to prove something to yourself. If so, cut it out. That is not being fair to yourself. A young guy can get it up just by thinking about certain things, but for most middle-aged guys it just doesn’t work that automatically. So stop pressuring yourself to perform and instead focus on enjoying the togetherness of being with a partner or lover (even casually).

It could be stress. My husband had the same problem at 21 when he lost his job. From what I’ve read on the internet it could be anything to do with stress, money problems, lack of sleep, change in diet, too much stuff going on at once, etc. I’m sure whatever it is it will go away eventually. Like I said my husband had the same thing and after he found a new job and things went back to normal the ED went away and he hasn’t had any problems since. Hope you figure it out. =]

If you love your body(who doesn’t),then perhaps the gym is your home.Gaining strength is easy when you first start hitting the gym.Your muscles go through a learning process,so almost anything you do triggers growth. But eventually your muscles adapt and improvements level off and you have train smarter to see results.
*Most guys works out the top portion of their body. The largest muscles, including the gluts, are in your lower body.Training them releases hormones that build size and strength everywhere else.
*Running for long distance isn’t a total waste of time but it’s close.Running doesn’t activate your fast twitch muscle fibres, which are great fat burners and bodybuilders. To get best result make a short burst of intense running followed by active rest. This type of training leads to gains in aerobic and anaerobic performance.
*Explosives lifting leads to fast gains. It activates more fast-twitch muscle fibres, which have the greatest growth potential. You also crank up your heart rate, inadvertently increasing the number of calories you burn.
*Don’t stay in a comfort zone.Professional athletes don’t sharpen their game simply by working on their strength-they also eliminate their weaknesses.
These are some of the points i have learned from my 30 years of working out in the gym, learning from my mistakes and observing other peoples mistakes.
How many times have you stopped at your neighbourhood store or on magazines and stared at what supplements to take. This question came to me too and decided to do some research on this sometime back.Ultimately,I zeroed in on XtremeNo for following reasons:

1) All the ingredients are produced from various herbs.
2) It’s main ingredient is a powerful ingredient called L-Arginine.

Let’s further look into what Arginine does.
Arginine is a powerful amino acid which converts into Nitric acid,as a result it makes arteries become relaxed, allowing blood to flow to the entire body.Efficient blood flow to the body helps in building muscles.

For individuals who want to lose weight,XtremeNo is a blessing.Arginine is capable of reducing the fat in our body by enhancing the metabolism rate. This happens by increasing the nitrogen balance in our body resulting to the conversion of Protein to muscle mass.
Overall,let’s see how it helps:

A top-down view of skeletal muscle (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

*it helps in maintaining the blood pressure.
*helps in indigestion.
*Enhances growth hormones.

Zyrtec 10mg and Enalapril Maleate (Blood pressure) 5mg causing attention deficit or loss of memory? whats up?

i am taking zyrtec 10mg for allergies and enalapril maleate 5mg for blood preasure. i am 24 years old and have noticed loss of short term memory, i am very forgetful in remembering things(#’s, names, website addresses..etc). i forget what my boss had told me about certain procedure the day before and she tells me like i would remember. i can’t focus on things, my mind is all over the place and feel very tired and feel like my brain is sleeping. i have anxiety problem but have never taken care of it (like talking to new people, boss, or girls, but iam usually very outspoken with people i am comfartable with.)

anyways, are these medications causing all this mind problems for me? like not being able to focus/pay attention or maintain things in my memory. i have an engineering degree and do not consider myself stupid, it usually takes longer to process and remember things now.

help me out if you are a doctor(i don’t have insurance) or if you have the same problems i am complaining about..

hari1956 answers:

Some experience short-term memory loss with Zyrtec, so it’s the culprit, not enalapril maleate. If you still need the drug, you can try adjusting the dose by getting the 5mg form of Zyrtec. It may work less that the 10mg but the side effects decrease significantly. If the allergic reaction’s gone, you may stop taking the drug.

How many of you think “brain death” means the brain has stopped functioning?

Before a diagnosis of brain death can be rendered, hypothermia must be ruled out. Since body temperature is maintained by the brain, some brain functioning is a requirement for a diagnosis of brain death!

Some “brain-dead cadavers” maintain their body’s electrolye balance, which necessitates a functioning hypothalamus-pituitary complex. Some “brain-dead cadavers” exhibit measureable activity in the brainstem in response to auditory and visual stimuli.
Regarding organ transfer, machines are keeping the body’s metabolic processes going, not the brain.

Brain death is loss of brain function, including brain stem. One of the determinations is lack of response to pain. Also, two physicians must agree, after two EEGs performed 24 hours apart.

Of course the brain functions to some extent or the whole body would shut down and die…
My brother was on life support for 8 days, his heart was beating on it’s own and he had random seizures and twitching the first day and nothing after. He never resumed breathing on his own . EEGs showed no electrical activity and limited blood flow to the brain…
By the time he was declared brain dead on day six, his organs had started to deteriorate and only the kidneys were harvestable by the transplant team.
The progressive deterioration of organs in a brain dead victim will eventually kill the patient and make transplant impossible…
I understand what you are saying and, believe me, I did not want to hear my baby brother was brain dead…but in most cases, the end is inevitable so why not make their trajedy a new chance at life for someone else?

hari1956 answers:

In my opinion, Nitric Oxide Supplements (such as superpump250, NO Xplode, and Nano Vapor) are the safest, and most effective workout supplement. The benefits of NO supplements are generally…
-Greater pumps
-Much more energy (think of it as a souped up energy drink)
-Much greater mental focus (when taking it, i sometimes need to pry myself away from the weights after 2 hours or so)
Some of the side effects are usually stomach aches, however this can be avoided usually by keeping very hydrated and eating a small meal…
I use superpump250, and have had great effects with it. No Xplode is ok, but i find superpump more effective, and Nano Vapor is terrible, and has VERY little effect, don’t waste your money on that

Hope i helped

Toning increases caloric output into the muscles and tones them to make them look sexy, or so the women say, lol. Also, since alot of the powerlifting focuses on only main muscle groups, toning can also increase the strength of those other small muscles which will give you a bit more of a solid frame.
